About Elisabeth - Founder of ENGRL
Elisabeth Eweka is an award-winning engineer, digital consultant, and STEM advocate reshaping how young people see engineering. With a background in Design Engineering (BEng) and Engineering for International Development (MSc), Elisabeth blends her technical expertise with a genuine understanding of what reaches young people today.
After several years working in building services engineering, Elisabeth recognised a clear gap: girls weren't choosing engineering because they didn't like it - it was because nobody had bothered to explain it to them. They couldn't picture themselves in it. And you can't be what you can't see.
Elisabeth founded ENGRL in 2024, building the platform from 0 to over 150,000 followers in less than 2 years. Alongside leading ENGRL, she works as a Principal Digital Consultant specialising in intelligent buildings and user-centred design, with credits on major projects including Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the Museum of the Future in Dubai - experience that shapes ENGRL's practical, real-world approach to STEM storytelling.
In 2025 she was named Inspirational Business Woman in STEM and Construction, recognised in the Top 50 Women in Engineering by WES, listed in the Top 100 Influential Women in Construction by CITB, and shortlisted for a UN Women UK Award. Elisabeth is a keynote speaker, STEM advocate, and a passionate voice for making engineering visible and accessible to the next generation of women.
